Privacy Policy
Effective date: August 28, 2026
1. Who we are
Assertum ("we", "us") provides Assertum Studio, the website you are reading and the account service behind them. We are the controller of the personal data described below. For any question about this policy, or to exercise any of the rights in section 6, write to sales@assertum.ai.
2. What we collect
Account data: when you sign in with Google we receive your email address, name, profile picture and the identifier Google assigns to your account. We request only the openid, profile and email scopes — we never receive your password and have no access to your other Google services. Contact requests: the email address you submit through our contact form, together with any name, company and message you choose to add. Usage and technical data: how the product is used, and the connection and device information our servers record automatically, including IP address, so that the service can be operated, secured and debugged.
3. Why we process it
We process account data to provide the service to you, on the basis of our contract with you. We process contact requests to reply to you, on the basis of your consent, which you can withdraw at any time. We process usage and technical data to improve the product, keep the service secure and prevent abuse, on the basis of our legitimate interest in operating a reliable service, or your consent where the law requires it.
4. Who we share it with
We do not sell personal data and we do not share it for advertising. We use a small number of service providers — for authentication, hosting and infrastructure, error monitoring, and handling incoming requests — who process data on our instructions and only for the purposes above. Some of them operate outside the European Economic Area; where that is the case, transfers rely on standard contractual clauses or an equivalent mechanism. We may also disclose data where the law requires it, or to establish or defend legal claims.
5. How long we keep it
We keep account data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, your profile and sign-in sessions are deleted, and we retain only a limited pseudonymised record of the deletion for up to 12 months so that free-tier limits cannot be reset by repeatedly recreating an account. Contact requests are kept for as long as we are in touch with you about Assertum, and are removed on request. Usage and technical data are kept for a limited period and then deleted or aggregated.
6. Your rights
You can ask us to give you a copy of the personal data we hold about you, to correct it, to delete it, to restrict or object to how we use it, or to send it elsewhere in a portable format, and you can withdraw any consent you have given — withdrawal does not affect processing that already happened. You can delete your account yourself at any time from your Profile page. For anything else, write to the address in section 1 and we will answer within one month. If you are in the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom, you also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.
7. Cookies
This site sets only the cookies needed to keep you signed in. There are no advertising or analytics cookies, so there is nothing here to opt out of. Clearing these cookies signs you out.
8. Security
Access to production data is limited to the people who need it to run and support the service, and traffic between your browser or the desktop app and our servers is encrypted in transit. No system is perfectly secure, but we treat a failure here as a first-order problem.
9. Children
Assertum is a tool for software teams and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 16.
10. Changes to this policy
As the product grows, the way we handle data will change and so will this page. When a change materially affects you, we will update the effective date above and tell you in the product or by email.
